Pickleball Club Championships
We are excited to announce a fresh format for our upcoming Club Doubles Championships. In an effort to accommodate our members' busy schedules, we have scheduled the tournament across three days, while ensuring that participants won't need to dedicate their entire weekend. The ladies' divisions will compete on Friday, October 20th, followed by the men's divisions on Saturday, October 21st, and mixed doubles divisions on Sunday, October 22nd.
Our commitment to inclusivity is reflected in the tournament's non-elimination formats. For all divisions, we will implement round-robin or waterfall draws. In these formats, no teams will face elimination, regardless of their match outcomes. This means that every team is guaranteed the same number of matches.
We wholeheartedly encourage all our members to participate, regardless of whether you consider yourself "Club Champion material." While only one team can claim the title of Club Champions, our tournament is designed for everyone to engage in friendly competition, relish in the joy of play, stay active, and relish the sense of community and camaraderie that comes with it. Remember, competition is worthy for everyone, not just the most skilled players among us.
The following divisions will be offered:
- Men's A (3.5+ ratings), Men's B (3.0 ratings), Men's C (2.5 and lower ratings)
- Women's A (3.5+ ratings), Women's B (3.0 ratings), and Women's C (2.5 and lower ratings)
- Mixed A (3.5+ ratings), Mixed B (3.0 ratings), and Mixed C (2.5 and lower ratings)
Both men and women can enter their doubles division individually or choose to participate in both gender doubles and mixed doubles divisions. Remember that you must register with a partner, and if your partner has a different rating than you, please enter the division corresponding to the higher-rated player.
Your tournament fee covers lunch, non-alcoholic beverages, balls, and trophies for Champions and Finalists. A member-pay bar will be available as well. The entry fee is $30 per player, for one division. If you decide to play in two divisions, the fee for both will be $50.
