at the Bentwater Marina

Fishing around the Bentwater Marina is pretty spectacular.  Some of the biggest fish in Lake Conroe call the Bentwater Marina their home.  The underwater shelter created by our Marina's floating dock structure offer fish a great habitat to thrive.  This makes a perfect environment for hosting fishing clinics for kids.  No need to go out on a boat or leave the neighborhood.  Fishing from the docks is all the fun you can handle.

So this month we'll be holding a "Fish Camp" for our Bentwater kids.  Our staff will teach the kids the fundamentals of East Texas freshwater lake fishing, including:

• The components of a fishing rod and reel

• Fishing line and how to select the proper weight

• Fish hooks and how to select the proper size

• Learning about bobbers, sinkers, and swivels
  

• Lures, bait, and how to select the right ones

• Knot tying

• Essential tools needed to make life easier

• Fishing etiquette

• Fishing safety

• And most importantly, catching lots of fish!

Once we have 8 kids confirmed we will send out notification that Fish Camp is confirmed.

 SIX FOOT SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES WILL BE IN EFFECT.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE PARTICIPATING.
