State Senator Brandon Creighton, District 4
Raised on a working ranch, and the youngest of 4 children, Brandon was taught the values of hard work, personal responsibility and the importance of faith. Brandon put himself through UT Austin working as an electrician's helper at Texaco Chemical plant and as a policy advisor in the Texas Senate. Prior to running for a seat in the Texas House of Representatives, Creighton worked as an investigator for the Texas Attorney General and as a brief writer for the Oklahoma Attorney General.
As a member of the Texas House, Creighton built a reputation as a conservative leader, and led a national movement among state legislatures to reclaim and reaffirm state sovereignty, pushing back against unconstitutional federal overreach from Washington, D.C.
Creighton was chosen among his colleagues to lead the largest Republican majority of House Members in the nation, continuing to advance conservative Texas policies. RedState named Creighton 'The man who kept Obamacare out of Texas' during his time as the Republican Caucus Chairman.
In the Texas Senate, Creighton has continued his work as a key member of Senate Finance, delivering balanced budgets and funding sources for actual border solutions. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Higher Education, Creighton has steered Texas Colleges and Universities to produce the most ready and skilled workforce in the nation, cementing Texas' strong business climate. Brandon also serves as Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Ports, and is a member of numerous committees including Business and Commerce, Jurisprudence, Water and Natural Resources and the Select Committee on Constitutional Issues.
Best known for his trademark, Let Texas Run Texas, Creighton was recently ranked the most conservative in the Texas Senate.
Dinner is optional, but reservations must be made by 12:00 am on the Wednesday prior to the Dinner (8 days before), even if you're not eating.
